Ashford corps opened fire on 29 October 1891. The first meetings were held in a tent at Beaver Road (opposite the present British Rail bowling green) before moving into a hired hall at Park Street. In 1892, a stone laying ceremony was held to commence the building for their first permanent hall in New Street. The corps remained at these premises until 1937 when alternative accommodation was acquired in West Street.
In 1983 the corps moved to Cudworth Road, Willesborough (see also South Willesborough), when the West Street premises were compulsory purchased for the creation of the ring road.
