The Salvation Army commenced work in the Canary Islands in 1978. A corps was opened in Tenerife whose ministry is to locals and tourists alike.
The Canary Islands are an African Archipelago which are part of Spain and consist of seven islands of volcanic origin in the Atlantic Ocean.
