Chechnya

Salvation Army work commenced in Chechnya in 1999, following the second Chechen war, administering relief to the floods of refugrees fleeing the conflict. In 2000 the work transferred to the neighbouring republic of Ingushetia.
The Chechen Republic, or, informally, Chechnya, is a federal subject of Russia.
