Using Templates in Your User Page & Talk Page

User pages are a way of sharing a little about yourself and your role in SAWiki as a contributor.

To make customising your user page easier we have made available some simple templates for you to include. Please don't include templates that do not apply to you.

For example, if you're not a soldier, please don't put the template on your user page. Anyone found to be doing this will have it removed and their page temporarily locked.

To view some of these templates in action check out the Admin user page You can view the source of that page to get a better idea of how to apply templates.

Of course you don't have to use the templates. You can edit your user page the same way as any other page on SAWiki.

The Name Template

Just copy and paste the "you type" section and amend with your information to include this template in your user page.
You type:

You get:
 This SAWiki user's name is
Your Name


The Gender Template

Just copy and paste the "you type" section and amend with your information to include this template in your user page.
You type: 
{{GENDER|gender=Your Gender}}
You get:
 This SAWiki user's gender is
Your Gender


The Location Template

Just copy and paste the "you type" section and amend with your information to include this template in your user page.
You type:

You get:

The Email Template

Just copy and paste the "you type" section and amend with your information to include this template in your user page.
You type: 
{{EMAIL|email=[mailto:my@email.com my@email.com]}}
You get:
 This users email is

The Talk Page Template

Just copy and paste the "you type" section and amend with your information to include this template in your user page.
You type: 
{{TALK|username=USERNAME}}
You get:
This particular example goes to Admin's talk page. Change USERNAME to the username you chose when you signed up.


The Corps Template

Just copy and paste the "you type" section and amend with your information to include this template in your user page.
You type: 
{{CORPS|corps=Your Corps}}
You get:
 This SAWiki user's Corps is
Your Corps


The Salvation Army Soldier Template

Just copy and paste the "you type" section to include this template in your user page.
You Type:

You Get:

The SAWiki Contributor Template

Just copy and paste the "you type" section to include this template in your user page.

The Homepage Template

Just copy and paste the "you type" section and amend with your information to include this template in your user page.

The Salvation Army Adherent Template

Just copy and paste the "you type" section to include this template in your user page.

The Corps Website Template

Just copy and paste the "you type" section and amend with your information to include this template in your user page.

The Salvation Army Officer Template

Just copy and paste the "you type" section to include this template in your user page.

The About Me Template

This is a template which will match the others and allow you to type a little or a lot about yourself on your user page.
You Type:

The User Talk Page Template

This template is for your Talk page. It will provide a welcome message for other SAWiki users and a link so people can leave you messages.
You Type:

This example goes to Admin's talk page. You should replace "Your User Name" with the name you chose when you signed up to SAWiki.

The Thank You Template

Useful for dropping a quick thank you on others talk pages. Just fill in your reason and your signature.
