Marian Booth
From Sawiki
Marian was born on May 4th. 1864. Though this was unusual in Victorian times, William and Catherine raised all their children to maturity. However, their third daughter had an illness with convulsions at an early age and was thereafter too delicate to do the regular work of the Army. Eva was her staunch defender, and is said to have got in trouble for reprimanding a governess who had scolded Marian for being slow with her lessons.
She was given the permanent rank of captain, remained at home, and is pictured at family occasions such at her father's funeral. She was promoted to Glory on January 5th. 1937 at the age of 72.
