Newport Central corps is the main corps of Newport.
Kelly's Directory of 1901 shows Shaftesbury Street aa the meeting place, with meetings on Sunday at 7am, 11am, 3pm and 6.30pm, and throughout the week at 8pm.
Newport Central or its former name Newport One, amalgamated with Newport Maindee in recent years and became Newport Citadel. The halls in Hill Street have been completely remodelled and now occupies two floors, with community and resturant facilities.
