Newport Maindee was a corps on the eastern bank of the River Usk in Newport.
Kelly's Directory of 1901 shows Emlyn Street/Hereford Street aa the meeting place, with meetings on Sunday at 7am, 11am, 3pm and 6.30pm, and throughout the week at 8pm.
Maindee Corps closed in 1996. The hall is now a Mosque. The corps joined forces with Newport Central Corps to become Newport Citadel. A newly renovated Central Hall in Hill Street, is now the headquarters in the town, with wonderful community facilities.
